Magstripes are available in LOW-CO and HIGH CO quality (300 up to 400 Oersted). Two different densities are used to encode the three available tracks (track one and three or track two). The enncoding is done while the cards are laser engraved or embossed. Depending on the purpose one, two or all three of the tracks are used. Track one can be used alphanumeric while tracks two and three can only be used numeric. The content of the tracks can be read by various card readers. It is used for different purposes including bank cards, credit cards private customers etc.
